Red-backed Shrike 03 Jun 2021 Naze, The Brian Combes 1 Female. Absolutely lovely; sitting on a bush on the edge of the paddock in the NW corner of John Weston, at 8:10. Darrell Stile had already been watching the bird. We then watched the bird for about twenty minutes as it hunted around the paddock. It then moved steadily west along the bushes and fence wires bordering the drain at the northern edge of Walton Hall Marshes, mobbed by whitethroats, reed buntings and skylark, until lost from sight.
