Boreham 14 Aug 2018 06:30 - 07:30 Early morning run, mild at 16.5C, wind a light W and no cloud. Moth trapping has taken up all of my time for the last 2 months. Graham Ekins 55 Linnet (First flock of the autumn on unploughted stubble), Wheatear (On stubble east of village, 1st of autumn), 15 Chaffinch (Unusual to have a flock this early. Appeared to be feeding on Hemlock), 25 Goldfinch (Feeding with the Chaffinches), 3 Yellowhammer (Feeding with Goldfinches and Chaffinches), 10 House Martin (3 nests on one house east end of village. Did not start nest building until beginning of June. 2nd brood just hatched. )
