1 Chiffchaff (ACTUALLY IBERIAN CHIFFCHAFF BUT THE EBWS SITE APPEARS UNABLE TO ACCEPT THE SPECIES!!! Bird singing in double hedge 100m north of farm pond. Initially singing just after 7:00; also heard at this time by Darrell Stile. We then heard the bird sing and call, on and off, until 8:30. Brief views gave the impression of a pale bellied bird with a relatively strong supercilium. Song and call were recorded and are diagnostic for this species. Not relocated.
